NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PROPOSED LOCAL LAW NO. 5 OF 2026

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Schroon, Essex County, New York will meet at the Town Offices of the Town of Schroon, Essex County, New York located at 15 Leland Ave, Schroon Lake NY 12870, on the 15th day of October at 4:30 p.m. for the purposes of conducting a Public Hearing on proposed Local Law No.5 of 2026 entitled “A local law for Flood Damage Prevention as authorized by the New York State Constitution Article IX, Section 2, and Environmental Conservation Law, Article 36”. It is the purpose of this local law to promote public health, safety, and general welfare, and to minimize public and private losses due to flood conditions in specific areas

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that a said Public Hearing to be held at the time and place set forth above, the Town Board will consider this Local Law and hear all parties interested therein concerning the same.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that a copy of the full text of proposed Local Law No. 5 of 2026 may be obtained upon request from the Town Clerk of the Town of Schroon.
