Sewer District No. 1

NOTICE IS HEREBY
GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Schroon, Essex County, New York, will have a meeting at the Town Hall, 15 Leland Avenue, in Schroon Lake, New York, in said
Town, on September 8, 2025, at 5:30 o’clock Prevailing Time, for the purpose of conducting a public hearing upon a certain map, plan and report including a revised scope of work and revised estimate of cost prepared in relation to the proposed increase and improvement of the facilities of Sewer District No. 1 in the Town of Schroon,
Essex County, New York, consisting of the construction of new sanitary sewer mains and pump stations, in and for the Sewer District No. 1, including original furnishings,
equipment, machinery, apparatus, appurtenances, and incidental improvements and expenses in connection therewith. The new maximum estimated cost of the aforesaid
increase and improvement of the facilities of Sewer District No. 1 in the Town is $3,000,000, consisting of an increase of $1,500,000 for such improvements, including a change in the scope of work and SEQRA status. The capital project described above has now been determined to be an Unlisted Action pursuant to the regulations promulgated under the State Environmental Quality Review Act (“SEQRA”) which as proposed, it has been determined will not result in any significant environmental adverse impacts. The map, plan and report and SEQRA documentation are available in the office of the Town Clerk, where they may be inspected during regular office hours. At said public hearing said Town Board will hear all persons interested in the subject matter thereof.
